TED.com: Ideas Worth Spreading is an amazing collection of videos featuring speakers and performers talking about what they know best. Not only is this site a great go-to for teaching material, but it also has a lot of inspirational posts for dissertation writers. Here are a few of my favorites:

Dan Pink – The Surprising Science of Motivation: Want to know what will finally get you motivated to get that writing done? The answers may surprise you in this video about what scientists know about how to move forward when you are feeling unmotivated.

Amy Tan – On Creativity: Amy Tan is a beautiful fiction writer and she has some really interesting thoughts on creativity in this video where she discusses her own writing process.

Dan Gilbert – Why are we happy?: According to this guy, you can be happy even when your life isn’t going as planned. Seems to me like a must-watch for all dissertation writers.

Are there any other TED.com videos that you think are especially inspirational for dissertation writers?
